The Career Zones method was developed over 25 years ago. Career Zones now has a partnership
with McGraw Hill. By bridging the Career Zones tutoring experience with the McGraw Hill testing
solutions, each Career Zones student has the benefit of one of the best prescriptions to academic success.
Each student that enters a Career Zones program takes a diagnostic test that assesses the student�s
current academic abilities. The diagnostic test is analyzed by experienced and specialized Career Zones
staff. Once Career Zones staff analyzes the diagnostic test, they schedule an individual meeting with the
student and parents. Based upon the diagnostic test and the individualized meeting, the student is
provided with long-term and short-terms goals that are achieved through a lesson plan that caters to
the specific student. As the student progresses through the Career Zones system, the lesson plan can be
further fine-tuned based upon the student�s performance. On a weekly and monthly basis, students take
diagnostic tests that further assess their development. Each lesson is preceded with a pre-test and is
completed through a post-test. The pre-test allows the students to take only lessons that they have not
already mastered while the post-test measures whether they need further assistance in the subject area.
Career Zones provides regularized reports to the students and their parents.
